After School Program

The After-School and children’s programs are located in the Allen Homes Community Center.

Allen Homes is a low income, city owned housing project. We have 50 children enrolled, but usually only 30 – 40 come each day.

We offer help with homework, games, toys, and a simple meal. We try to mentor and instill basic Christian principles (no hitting, share, don’t take things that don’t belong to you). These children have not been taught these things (actually they are taught the opposite).

The Sunday Program is play, crafts with a Bible lesson. The older children are taken to Vineyard Church on Wednesdays to participate in their Youth Program and some go on Sunday morning.

We have food and clothing distributions for the families.

One of our volunteers takes small groups of teenage girls to activities in the local area for mentoring and studies in Christian principles.
